volume normalizer

it would be great if its possible to have a volume normalizer built in, some songs seems to be louder than others for me, and some songs just seem to be hitting the peak degrading a bit of quality. (same mp3 plays fine on computer locally)

would be fine if its technically impossible or is non feasible

Yeah I think it would be useful if possible.

An initial plugin is now available in the downloads section. You'll need a bot build from 2/12/2008 or later to use it.

well i got it to work, but theres a small issue.

in the open source release for XMMS, there was a small patch made to fix the issue where the first few seconds of a song would be really loud, but it seems like that didn't get implemented with autodj's plugin.

wondering if its possible to put that in there as well with the autodj plugin

http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php? ... m_id=34749

the smooth.h file is already in the opensource download, i just don't know how to incorporate it.

thanks

It looks like the version I got already had the patch applied. The code in smooth.c already has that change in it.
