Newlines in terms of the text message or in terms of separate messages? Sometimes they are stripped and sometimes they are not.

How would I do what I'm asking about? An example of this would be as follows:

User:
!find Owl City

Bot:
I found the following X songs... text back the number to request that song. 1: Fireflies by Owl City 2: The Saltwater Room by Owl City 3: The Tip of the Iceberg by Owl City 4: Christmas Song by Owl City

User:

Bot:
Thanks, The Tip of the Iceberg by Owl City will play soon!

HOWEVER, the user could also send in a direct request as is done in IRC to allow for fewer texts used, i.e.

!request 1-06 Mean.mp3

Is this feasible?

can i ask what steps you used to get the bot to reply? the bot is reporting the messages but not replying...thank you in advance.
