Ok I know we have a PHPBB plugin but the forum for the site I have my radio on uses IPB version 3.
I imagine it would be pretty simple to port the phpbb plugin to ipb right?
However, is it possible for a plugin to be made that doesn't require mysql access? I don't have access to the database as it is another admin that hosts it. I have mentioned the possibility of the bot having its own login but it'd be easier for alot of people if we didn't have to use mysql and have the bot check the thread rather than the database.

Re: IPB3 Plugin
That's crazy why would you allow anyone access than yourself to your mysql database.
In theory you will never own that site you are on.
But the Bot own login is such not a bad idea

Re: IPB3 Plugin
IPB is supposed to have a built-in API, so if it has everything the bot needs then it's plugin would probably use the API instead of direct queries.
You can also contact me via email or instant messenger, links are at the bottom of this post.
